Yahoo collaborates with Tata Sons on Cloud Computing Research

Yahoo has announced a collaboration with Tata Sons Ltd. owned Computational Research Laboratories (CRL) to support cloud computing research. As part of the agreement, Yahoo researches will get access to CRL’s EKA, the fourth fastest supercomputer in the world.

With 14,400 processors, 28 terabytes of memory and a peak performance of 180 teraflops, EKA is only one of the top 10 supercomputers, that is privately funded and available for commercial use.
