Job Description:
GreenEarth is starting a new venture to leverage social media for increasing the reach and effectiveness of learning. We are self-funded, still in stealth mode, and we are in the process of establishing a web development team at our Pune based office. We are looking for a passionate individual who can lead a team of 5 engineers to build a multi-lingual web based collaboration platform. As a lead, you will enjoy a great deal of autonomy in our flexible environment and be the key decision maker in the design and development of the platform. We expect you to efficiently drive the team to deliver a high quality product. Innovative approach towards problem solving will be highly appreciated.
Responsibilities:
- Creating and communicating web application designs and test plans.
- Work closely with UX, development and QA, and lead them to develop, test and deploy new web applications.
- Researching industry best practices for user experience, ensuring that they are leveraged throughout the platform.
- Maintaining current technical knowledge to support rapidly changing technology, stay on a look out for new technologies, and work with management and development team to bring in new technologies
Key Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong knowledge and expertise of html, Javascript, css, PHP, cross-browser/platform issues and associated modern browser compatibility issues.
- Strong focus for end-user focused applications design, with a high awareness of current industry design and usability trends
- Highly knowledgeable in development trade-offs between performance and design.
- Understanding of web standards
- 4+ years of experience in the web development field.
