I come back from a long overdue vacation to find amongst other things, that a BusinessWorld staff member has left comment spam on my blog. Not one or two but five comments – completely unrelated to the context of the post and simply promoting a new blog that they have started. An act that is defined as blog whoring.

I have no formal guidelines or any comment policy in place. Of course, I delete any offending, spam or irrelevant comments. Under normal circumstances, I would have just deleted the comment above. But considering that there were five such copy+pasted comments and coming from a magazine like BW, I thought that it warranted a mention at least. I would have expected them to know better and act more responsibly.
BW, you definitely rubbed me the wrong way.
Businessworld did this on my blog too. Shame on them!
