Yulop, the Bangalore based startup that was earlier operating a portal for Bangalore city, seems to have morphed into a location based service provider. Its tagline now reads ‘Life Around Location’ and here’s how they describe their new service:

Back in June last year, they had launched location based services for the city of Bangalore and were probably one of the first to use LBS technology.
I guess, they definitely saw more value in location based technology and the possible revenue stream that it can open up, considering the sheer number of mobile users in India. Not to mention that they’d also get a headstart over other players.
I’m not quite sure of when exactly this transition happened, but its great to see them reinvent themselves so quickly.
