TheTrafficPeople is a new service that provides real time traffic updates to residents in the Delhi – NCR region.
We give time-to-time information on traffic situations. People can visit our website and get the latest information on traffic jams, processions or rallies resulting in slow vehicular movement and on any sort of diversion.
As of now, they provide updates only during the peak traffic hours during mornings and evenings, but will expand coverage as need arises. They also share traffic updates with radio channels, that makes it possible to reach a broader audience. An SMS alert subscription costs about Rs 99 /- month.
I’d suggested a similar idea a while back. Currently, BITS is operating a similar service for Bangalore.
