Sales17: New startup in the CRM SaaS market

sales17.gifSales17 is a Pune based startup in the CRM Software as a Service (SaaS) market.  They are in limited alpha and offer most of the on-demand CRM related features – sales force management, contact management, inventory management, auditing etc.
However, in a market dominated by SalesForce and other players like SugarCRM and Zoho CRM, I wasnt sure how they intend to compete. So, I asked the founding team on how they plan to address this. As per a team member, their goal currently is not to compete with SalesForce at all. They intend to offer their service at a much affordable rate to the Indian market. Now considering the price conscious Indian mentality, this definitely seems to be a good market opportunity.
