I have always held the opinion that integration into existing photo sharing sites like Flickr, Snapfish etc will be a big step towards increased adoption of digital photo printing services like Picsquare, iTasveer etc.
Now, it seems Picsquare has answered. They have leveraged the Flickr API to integrate a user’s existing Flickr account into their Picsquare accounts. So, when you login to your Picsquare account, you’ll see a tab for your Flickr photos. Provide your authentication credentials for Flickr and confirm that Picsquare should be allowed to access your Flickr photos. Once thats done, Picsquare will automatically get your Flickr photos, tags etc. You can order prints directly from the Flickr photosets or alternatively, you can import the photos into Picsquare and then order prints.
This is a great move by Picsquare and overcomes a major deterrent for some users – having to upload the photos again to order digital prints.
For further details related to the Flickr integration, head over to the Picsquare blog.
Do enough Indians use (know about) Flickr to justify such a feature?
Perhaps Windows Explorer integration (context menu) might be more intuitive for Indian users.
