Hey Pranav,

Good comparison… but I guess you have missed in considering one of the biggest players today, BIGFlix.com which is the home vidoe division of Reliance BIG Entertainment. The company currently has more than 100 stores in 10 cities in Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Indore, Chandigarh and Kolkata. The domestic market offers both online and offline (stores) access to DVD rentals.

The subscriptiuon plans are as low as Rs 299/- per month with a refundable deposit varying with the type of DVD plan and the tenure of the plan one opts for.

BIGFlix.com has the pure digital form where one can download movies as well as avail free streaming options too.

Clixflix have taken heed. Their deposits and plans seems more affordable. Happy watching. They also have a cool model.. you can call, sms, go to the stores or use their site.

I have been looking at the online stores and it was nice to see the comparisons of online stores at one place. The comparison may also take in consideration the kind of collection these stores have. According to my research/taste Clixflix is the one which really has some collection of cinema from around the world. I think clixflix is bit expensive and the kind of deposit is too much for me to afford. Similar Stores around the world (and they claim to be like them) dont charge any deposit. It seems like these stores want you to return the set of films together rather than keep the films in rotation so that one can have one film to watch and one is in transit. I must say 2 films is too less. Thats my observation from abroad.

thanks for pointing that out. I’ll make the appropriate change.

I tried to be as accurate as possible, but since the pricing schemes and the locations served are so varied and continously changing (especially the latter), a couple of errors may have slipped through.

A correction about Madhouse: we currently provide services in Delhi NCR as well as in Chandigarh – your comparison mentions only the latter.
