OCricket, the Django based cricket social network, seems to have shut down or in their own words, ‘gone into hibernation’. Their first blog post was in August 2008 and they managed to consistently launch new features for cricket fanatics.
Meanwhile, it seems that they’re upto something else as per a recent tweet:
If they dont intend to pursue OCricket further, it would be great to hear about their experiences on their launch, operations, stats etc. and the reason behind the shutdown.

Ah! Caught us?
I thought blogs and other media are not that interested yet. I’m lip-tight at the moment but I’ll definitely come up with explanations on the happenings with oCricket and its future.
The short and sweet reasoning is that we got much bigger opportunity for the team to execute our Cricket idea and much more beyond.
good luck buddy..
I put in a comment on this blog about ocricket going away…
what is it you are planning now ??
good… it was useless site anyways.
Genie: Thanks for your encouragement! I think it’s because of people like you that India doesn’t have any startup to be proud of. oCricket folks are probably sorry to have tried to do something new. The ball is on your court now, show us what you can do.
if you call getting a couple of pathetic writers who rewrite cricinfo articles and post them on multiple websites as innovative…… great!!
barring a couple of features (which looked good) the site looked like a blog to me….
Genie, We have too many armchair consultants. WHat we need is more people who will startup, (and fail, and startup again). So, with all respect, startup or gtfo.
hello everyone here
