Comparison of Payment gateways for India – an addendum

While doing my post on Indian payment gateway services, I’d contacted DirecPay (TimesofMoney venture) to get their pricing scheme.

A month later, today, I received the pricing details from them (talk of information on demand age :-) )

They seem to support majority of the Indian banks when it comes to net banking, while they support only Mastercard, Visa and Diner’s Club for credit card payments.

They have a 3 tiered pricing scheme, with the most basic called the ‘Silver’ scheme. The ‘Silver’ scheme involves a one time,non-refundable setup fee of Rs 10,000. The per transaction cost (TDR) is 6% for both credit cards as well as net banking. The annual maintainence cost is Rs 2400. All these figures do not include the service tax (10.30 %).

They claim to complete integration within 48 hours and funds are cleared on a weekly basis.

I shall update the payment gateway comparison PDF soon to reflect this information.

  1. You can also look at TechProcess(Bill Junction) which is fast catching up and has a good number of clients from sectors like telecom, shopping and finanace. Some of their clients include Vodafone, LIC, Sun DTH, Videocon DTH, Ginger hotels, ISB hyderabad, ICFAIetc.

  2. I am looking at eazy2pay, ccavenue, paysignet, epayments…which one do i suggest is better?

    • I suggest also look at the background of the company when tying up with aggregators(cos other that banks). This is a financial transaction, your money stays with them for a couple of days and they need to be trusted in third party settlement.A track record for so many years for partnership or closely held cos might be illusionary.

  3. How about billdesk ?
Are they payment gateway ? How is their price ?

    • Bill desk has a payment gateway, you can invite quotes from them. Common charges are per bank integration, credit card, security money, annual maintenance etc.You can also look at ccavenues, Techprocess etc.

  4. Payment gateways are even provided by One97 Communication Pvt. ltd. This company specializes in Voice based services and provides solutions such as auto- calls, Payment IVR etc. For more information you can speak to Neelam @ 9717011060. With this you have to pay only on development, bank integration and per transaction charges.

  5. Aditya,

What is the URL for epayments that you’ve mentioned?

  6. Dont ever try paysignet.com. This is a fraud company, just type paysignet in google and see the how many people are dubbed by this company

  7. We at mobikwik.com are using EBS and I think they are pretty good on support ( must for a fledgling startup) , risk management ( they have a flagging system which actually works) and TDR. Some of the other startups are also using them.

  8. Las vegas bankruptcy lawyer company offers decided to carry out a good IVR option, there are a variety of things to watch out for. The actual IVR will probably be many callers’ very first connection with your company. Nevertheless, any poorly developed method could perform a lot towards rendering it his or her final.

  9. I am gonna do a business which has a profit margin of just 4% and I will beunable to afford to all these PER TRANSACTION COSTS of 7 or 6%…
Is there any way I can accept payments with transaction charges of 1 or 1.5%…? I am open to any methods – online, IVR, or other means… Only thing is that i cant have a physical cash counter to accept payments…
    Please advice

Arun, you are right. Seems there is no options for starting a small home bases business. Paypal which was only a option was killed by fucking RBI laws.
