Orkut is able to attract Indians but Facebook is not able to attract Indians. I have few Indian friends on Facebook.

Pranav,

Just go to your orkut profile, change your language settings to English UK or English US and then see the app directories. Both will show you different listings. Indian users by default gets English US under the new orkut.co.in domain. same for brazil with co.br domain and rest of the world gets on orkut.com .

strange to see sites like chakpak,minglebox flaunt their alexa ranks based on orkut page views beacuse of their apps.
how good are they for their stand alone site.iAM NOT SURE IF THEY SHOULD BECOME SO DEPENDENT on other popular social nets.

if that is indeed the case, then all English users should see the same app directory..and the Indian apps seem to dominate that list then.

Are you 100% sure about this language based difference ?

Hey Pranav,

The app directory is different based on your language preference. In simple words, Brazil users see a different app directory and buddy poke leads there. In the India specific app directory chakpak and slapster leads I guess.
