I can’t understand why HT media, which is so successful in traditional media forms, lags behind in Internet? Even this deal doesn’t impress me with their possible plans and strategies. Hindustantimes.com is an incredible portal but what else? Shine.com doesn’t seem to have shined yet. Desimartini is still the same that it was prior to its acquisition. Their other Internet properties too appear to be lacking in innovation and drive. Buck up boys! If you can change the fortunes of Hindustan Times and Hindi Hindustan, you can also shake the Internet world, if you work smart and hard.

There are much better websites with rich content being offered for free to which no one is looking at the moment. These websites look to be under performers at the moment but will surprise many in times to come. Wish I had the money to invest in one such website. One website that I feel is the underdog at the moment and has a huge potential is http://www.competitionmaster.com
