What does success mean to you ?

The definition of success is so subjective to each one of us. Some equate success with wealth, some equate with health, some equate with family, some equate with fame.

So, what exactly does success mean to you ? By your definition, when would you call yourself successful ?

  1. I mentioned this in my blog sometime ago :)

    Here it is.
    It is basically a few lines by Ralph Waldo Emerson

    What is success…

    “To laugh often and much;
    To win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children;
    To earn the approbation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends;
    To appreciate beauty;
    To find the best in others;
    To give of one’s self;
    To leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition;
    To have played and laughed with enthusiasm and sung with exultation;
    To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived —
    This is to have succeeded.”

  2. I think Gunjan more or less sums it up….but looking at success, for me it is a hypothetical situation, a frame of mind in which a man is tired of thinking and likes to believe that whatever he has achieved is enough for a man to achieve and then he declares himself successful.

    There is nothing like success for a man who doesn’t know boundaries. Success is itself a boundary that bounds you to being only successful.

  3. success means a person who should a good citizen
    and conduct the family with your liability and take a part in welfare program in our society .
