In an interview to Hindu, Guruji.com founders Anurag Dod and and Gaurav Mishra talk about their decision to head back to India from the US to start Guruji and about their future plans for the service.
“Once we came up with the idea, we knew that the only way to pursue this dream would be to relocate to India and build a team here. The reasons are many: our market is India, so being present in the market becomes critically important. Also, the fact that engineering talent from IISc and the IITs is available was very enticing for us to build the company here.”, says Gaurav.
They have a mobile strategy in the works and are actively talking with mobile providers to power their search. Tying up with libraries and universities is planned in distant future. As part of Guruji.com, they have also developed IP and will file patents for the same.
Finally, speaking about the entrepreneurial journey, Gaurav says that its not easy to become an entrepreneur. “Then you must push yourself to the limits to achieve the impossible, but along the way, enjoy the journey as much as possible. Take time to celebrate every milestone – the key is to make sure that everyone in the company lives and breathes your passion.â€
