Dealaajtak, another Indian deals site

dtak3.JPGDealaajtak is another deals site for the Indian audience. They have the standard fare - sign up for the service and you can set alerts for a deal, email a deal to a friend and search for deals by categories or keywords. They also have a separate section for ‘in-store’ deals only. They have a pretty neat UI and one of the best things I liked about the site is that you can choose to view the deals in either a ‘text view’ or an ‘image view’. The ‘image view’ definitely adds a visually appealing touch and this particular option may become pretty popular with the users.

The site is powered by Joomla and is one of the better customizations I have seen around.

Current monetization is via on site ads and will probably include revenue share with merchants later down the line.

Currently, the biggest drawback to the site is that there is no means for an end user to submit a deal. You need to use a contact form to submit a deal to the site admins, who will moderate and then add the deal to the site.

Dealaajtak joins DealMaadi and AllIndiaDeals, amongst other deals sites for the Indian market.

Dealaajtak looks pretty neat and mature website. It seems some big players are getting into this deal fare in india with investments from abroad. Its only that we still need some more credible shopping websites - with cool deals, return policies, credible delivery system. Sites like rediff, indiatimes, sify are mess. Such good websites like dealaajtak will surely increase competition in indian online shopping and will do consumer much good. I think “heat is on”!!!

wat i have seen on dealaajtak is that ther deals are the lowest in price from all other online store …infact wat i thnk they r doing is that they are posting the lowest price deals available online in india instead of bombarding ther site with useless deals .

as far as quality of deals is concerned i thnk they r the best..nt to mention the hard work they have done in making an attractive UI and i agree with u that “The ‘image view’ definitely adds a visually appealing touch and this particular option may become pretty popular with the users.”
