Yiktik - social news filtering site
Yiktik is yet another Indian social news filtering site - aka Digg clone. Instead of the “digg” or the “vote up/down”, users on Yiktik vote for a story between 1 - 10. The average rating received by a story is used to determine the popularity.
But there are already so many desi Digg clones. So, why I am writing about Yiktik - because it offers this small, refreshing window of change in terms of design and usability. The site is seeded with very less content as of now and lacks some of the viral features (like sidebar widgets showcasing say most commented or most popular stories).

Thanks pranav for the honest review. I would like to clarify a few things. Though the concept of user submitted news items is the same as digg etc, the working of yiktik is completely different than digg. The site was completey written from scratch by us and does NOT run on pligg or meneame, which are usually called digg clones. As for the side bars etc, they are work in progress. Also it is just not the average rating that determines the popularity, but other factors come into play too. That being said, thanks for the review again.
thanks for the clarification swamy.
