Cleartrip gets $18.5 million third round funding

Cleartrip has raised an additional $ 18.5 million in a third round of funding led by Draper Fisher Jurvetson. DFJ provided $ 10 million in the round while the rest came from the Mahindra Group and the earlier investors.
This brings the total investment in Cleartrip to $ 30. 2 million.

Indian computer sales soar by 20%

Indian computer sales jumped by 20% last year as per a survey by market research firm IDC India. PC sales rose from 5.4 million units in 2006 to 6.5 million units in 2007.
Laptop sales surged to 1.8 million from 980,000 units.
