Myntra gets seed funding from Erasmic Venture Fund
Myntra, a consumer Internet startup providing personalized gift services, has secured seed funding from Erasmic Venture Fund and a few additional angel investors. Erasmic has nominated a team member to the Myntra board of directors. Sasha Mirchandani of Mumbai Angels has also joined the board.
The funds will be used for procuring advanced technology for on-demand printing, scaling up operations and new marketing options.

THis looks like a rip off of threadless.com. It is a welcome thing though user generated content moves to graphics design on product.

I Liked the idea of Myntra! i.e. of an Indian Cafepress. Low price but dont know about the quality yet. Also, atleast the graphic on the homepage should have been different from Cafepress’s

Yes, myntra is more an Indian cafe press. Don’t know about you guys, but being a NIFT student gnome.in is a lot more fun. That is an Indian threadless!

One thing I did not understand that what gnome is trying to do already exist in pringoo.com and myntra.com then how gnome is better than these two strong players. Tell me one thing, what gnome offers that is not offered by these two players?
Both of them have design contest and the best thing is that their prize money is way more than gnome.
I would say gnome is subset of pringoo and myntra. And in this race I would say pringoo has the best UI and leading as far as numbers of features are concerned.

Kajol, as a designer its all about getting a sense of achievement! Gnome doesn’t print anything and everything. Myntra and Pringoo do. They don’t really care whether my design is good or not. Thats just not fun for me you know!
And Gnome has a monthly prize money of 50,000 right now! I don’t think the other sites are that generous.

So it means Gnome is only for those designers who are expert or in the field of designing for many years. Or I will say beginner or amateur designer has no scope in gnome as chances are less for them to be selected as they just started….
Hahah why such a partiality …pringoo and myntra does not discriminate and they give everyone equal chance. And yes there is rating for designers design to filter so if you want to see design by rating then you can always do in these two sites.
I will go for these two sites who encourage any designer to start their career.
Gnome gives only 2000 Rs. phewwww…
