KyaKare, an event listings site
KyaKare is a new, collaborative events listing site for India. Anyone can add an event listing and events are categorized into a broad spectrum of categories. You can drill down events by a city and a particular category. There’s also a ‘most viewed’ module that lists the most viewed events.
The site currently has events for the city of Mumbai and Kolkata and Bangalore are in the works. All in all, KyaKare is a no-frills website with simple navigation and serves the one purpose it is built for - to add, share and list events. Since the process of adding new events is not moderated, spam may likely become a possible issue with the site.
Lets face it - its still a challenge to find event listings in India. One has to still resort to offline approaches to discover event happenings in their city - although this is changing.
Some other players in field are EventsInIndia and EventsBangalore.
EventsInIndia is a nice Ruby-on-Rails based event listings site started by Neeraj Kumar (who was earlier behind the site IndiaUpcoming). The site has a lot of Web 2.0 jazz - nice, clean design, interactivity and each event is permalinked. Check it out.
Finally, there’s EventsBangalore, which started out (and still is) primarily as a blog listing the events in Bangalore. And it seems to have grown in popularity via word of mouth amongst Bangloreans.

Thanks for mentioning EventsBangalore.net. It will never be a listing site. It will remain a blog like site with calendar.
May be in future we will cover the events.
