July 9, 2007 · Posted in India Web 2.0

As per a new study by McKinsey, corporate investments into Web 2.0 are on the rise. 46 percent of early adopter companies and 44 percent of fast follower companies reported great results from their web 2.0 efforts. On the topic of which Web 2.0 technology they were planning to use the most, the list included web services (80%), collective intelligence (48%), P2P networking (47%), social networking (37%), RSS (35%), podcasts (35%), wikis (33%), blogs (32 %) and mashups (21 %).

Wikis, blogs and RSS were cited as some of the most valuable tools in an online discussion exploring key themes of the survey.

Regarding the future plans, Indian executives were most bullish - with 80% planning to ramp up their Web 2.0 investments in the next three years.
