Smile Interactive to launch mobile portal, Phirki

Smile Interactive Technologies will be launching a new mobile portal, Phirki.mobi in the next two months. This is the same company that owns ad agency Quasar Media, online ad network Tyroo and travel meta search engine Zoomtra. The portal will have entertainment, news and search based features. They also plan to launch a SMS based social networking service and mobile commerce related services. As per Mahendra Swarup, chief mentor of Smile Interactive Tech, the company is testing 5-6 independent companies in the areas of social networking, mobile advertising and mobile VAS space.
