ResultsOnMobile.com - get exam results via SMS
ResultsOnMobile is a website where you register, create a profile and select the exam results you are interested in. Provide your ‘Hall Ticket’ number and once the exam results are out, you’ll be instantly notified via SMS about how well you did (or if flunked for that matter). The rationale behind the service is that you do not need to wait or go to the university for your results. Results will come to you. Examination results are supposed to be confidential, they should not be viewed in front of others.
Huh ? Why do I need a SMS notification with my exam results ? I’ll just wait my turn to get them. The service makes no logical sense to me and if I were a student appearing for an exam — I see no benefits to be gained by using the service.
Although I personally did not try to register for the service, I wonder if they have any safeguards in place to prevent abuse - unauthorized access of confidential info.
