HindustanTimes makeover

The HindustanTimes has done a great job of a makeover. Is it just me or does the site look surprisingly similar to NYT ? The 5 column layout, design and especially the font seem to be very,very similar to NYT.
NDTV also refreshed their website recently and now have much more readable and easily accessible site.

Well, this is definitely good news. Indian portals are finally waking up to the fact that their sites suck in terms of usability and visual appeal.  I hope that they also realize (especially Rediff and Indian Express) that popups and pop-unders are insanely irritating and it wont be long before people start deserting you and start getting their news from IBNLive, DNA etc.

    Looks good! I think that’s a great move on their part - even if it’s a little thief-y. I’d suggest them to makeover their logo as well since it does not fit the new style at all.
