What is StartupDunia ?

Hello and welcome to StartupDunia. StartupDunia is everything and anything related to startups and entreprenuerial ventures by Indians. I have always been fascinated by the world of startups and entrepreneurship. The Google - YouTube deal is still resonating in my ears as I write this. Entrepreneurship has its rewards — financial (if you do a kick-ass job in your venture and get lucky), emotional, educational (get to learn whole lotta things) and professional (network with super-smart people). You are in command of the ship. You get to delve into aspects of business that you normally would never have gotten a chance to do.

But that doesnt mean that it is an easy journey. The first step to entrepreneurship itself is immensely difficult (and in my opinion distinguishes entrepreneurs from the rest). It takes a lot of balls to quit your regular job and become an entrepreneur. The thought of not having a regular paycheck is so unnerving to people — thats one of the main reasons that entrepreneurs are a select few. Heck, if it were so easy, everyone would have done it.

My aim is to profile startups, entrepreneurial ventures, interview entrepreneurs etc. who are of Indian origin and/or target the Indian audience/market.
